Help me bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles
Donate to AIDS/LifeCycle and receive a new Cypress print 🏔️
Hey friends!
This June, Meghan and I will be biking 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles as part of the AIDS/LifeCycle, a weeklong ride supporting the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. These two organizations provide critical healthcare and support to thousands of people in the LGBTQ+ community.
This ride has been on my bucket list for years—and 2025 is the last time it will ever be held. I couldn’t pass up the chance to be part of it. I’m excited, severely undertrained, and incredibly grateful to get to ride alongside thousands of others who care deeply about this cause.
To help me reach my fundraising goal of $3,500 before May 21, I’m offering a thank-you gift to anyone who donates: a brand-new linocut print from Cypress. (And thank you again to those who already read this and have donated. You’re already on the list for a print.)
The print is based on one of my photos of the California coast near Big Sur—a place I’ll pass near on the ride. It captures the layered cliffs and winding coastline that make this part of the world feel so expansive and alive. I’ll be hand-printing each one in the studio in the coming weeks. Assuming I survive the ride, you should receive them by July.
Please reply to this email with your mailing address after donating so I know where to send your print!
Thank you so much for your support—on the bike and in the studio.
More soon,
Mac
